Weisst du tatsächlich über den momentanen Zeitgeist und seine verwandten popkulturellen Phänomene Bescheid oder ist dies deine Art zu kaschieren, dass du eigentlich gegen das reale Leben allergisch bist? Kommt die Verpackung noch vor dem Inhalt oder verhält es sich umgekehrt? Indie oder Major? Abgeranztes Klapprad oder hochgezüchtetes Fixie? Scheint dir die Sonne aus dem Allerwertesten oder bist du vom Pech verfolgt? Und wer vermag dies zu entscheiden ausser Dir selbst, in einer Stadt, in der alles möglich scheint, solange du dich nur traust. Unter den ganzen verromantisierten Halbwahrheiten über Berlin, hat es eine im Speziellen in sich: die Stadt ist arm, aber sexy. It’s gypsy funk, Baby. Also seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und füllet die Erde und macht sie euch untertan. Oh, und tragt IRIEDAILY während ihr schon dabei seid. Ganz gleich ob nun Mietnomade mit imposanter Eames Chair Kollektion oder charmanter Schnorrer der auf seinem Custom-Made Bike die Szene unsicher macht: der Bürgersteig, die Strasse ist dein Zuhause und Irrationalität dabei das Ass im Ärmel. Das Leben ist nur dann langweilig, wenn du es zulässt. To want, to have, and to do.

Are you… or do you just pretend to be? Are you actually this open-minded and slightly extroverted character or doyou just desperately crave for attention? Are you really in the know in terms of the current zeitgeist and its related pop culture phenomenons or is it just your way to cover that you’re actually allergic to life? Is it style over content or is it the other way around for you? Indie or major? Folding bike or fixie? Made of sunshine or out of luck? And who’s the one to judge besides yourself in a town where anything seems to be possible as long as you give it a try at least.

Among the half-truths turned quirky romanticisms about Berlin, one is particularly true: the city is poor but sexy. It’s gypsy funk, baby. So be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it. And wear IRIEDAILY while doing so. Doesn’t matter if you’re a deadbeat tenant with an impressive Eames chair collection or a sponger that speeds through the city on his shockingly expensive custom-made bike. The sidewalk is your living-room and irrationality your ace in the hole. Life is dull only if you allow it to be. To want, to have, and to do.
