Iriemember "Iriepathie" on Tour!

Their deep respect for the motherland of reggae, Jamaica, was one of the biggest influences for Iriemember Iriepathie!  “Professa“ and “Syrix” as the two brothers and band members call themselves, visited the island several times as their uncle lived on Jamaica for roundabout 40 years. The band is recognized and respected by the local Jamaican music scene, since their legendary performance at Reggae Sumfest in 2004. Additionally, the two brothers were able to establish a good reputation as producers for world stars like Anthony B, Sizzla, Luciano, Konshens, Morgan Heritage and Gentleman. Iriepathie has become a well known member of the worldwide reggae scene and will be performing the latest album “Runde 3”, which was released in 2010, on all European reggae stages like Summerjam, Sunsplash, Chiemsee Reggae Summer, Rototom Festival and many more.

Der tiefe Bezug zum Mutterland des Reggaes, Jamaica, kam nicht zufällig. Seit ihrem 6. Lebensjahr sind sie mehrfach im Jahr auf der Insel – ihr Onkel lebt dort seit 40 Jahren.  In Jamaica sind sie nicht nur seit ihrem Auftritt am legendären Reggae Sumfest 2004 von den dortigen Musikgrößen anerkannt und respektiert. Sie haben sich vor allem als Produzenten für Weltstars wie Antony B, Sizzla, Luciano, Konshens, Morgan Heritage, Gentleman etc. einen Namen gemacht. Iriepathie ist in der weltweiten Reggaeszene ein Begriff geworden und bereits auf allen großen Reggaebühnen Europas (Summerjam, Rototom Sunsplash, Reggae Sundance, Chiemsee Reggae Summe, Nuke etc.) zu Gast gewesen. Da ist es in Österreich schon etwas schwieriger „on air“ zu sein, auch wenn sie 2006 mit dem Amadeus Award  (Best Alternative Act) ausgezeichnet wurden.
