It’s actually kind of weird, isn’t it? As good as it felt to leave home, it’s an almost joyful ritual to return to see the rest of the funky bunch in their typically fit yet strange form. And as long as you’re aware of entering a slightly irrational twilight zone with its own laws, codes and rules you’re fairly safe. It’s almost like a gang. De facto it’s almost like each and every social system you’re approaching as soon as you decide for yourself to leave your own little box and comfort zone, and go out and experience life instead.
Through all your life you will have family besides the one you’re aligned to by genetic code. Forms and firms. Blood brothers and the brother of one’s brother-in-law. Posses and paramours. Some will knock politely on your door while others go at you like a bull at a gate. The effect is slightly similar: either way they sure will slip deep inside you and add another colorful dish to your daily menu, even if it’s just for a moment. But you knew that already, haven‘t you? Then what about this one here? There is this saying that families are like fudge… mostly sweet with a few nuts. Bon appetite.

Eigentlich ist es fast paradox, oder? Obwohl man mehr als froh war das elterliche Haus zu verlassen, macht es nach anfänglichem Zögern einen Heidenspass in (un)regelmässigen Abständen zurückzukehren, um den Rest des Clans in all seiner wirren Pracht zu erleben. Und solange du dir vor Augen hältst, eine eher irrationale Twilight Zone mit eigenen Gesetzen, Regeln und Kodierungen zu betreten, bewegst du dich auf sicherem Boden… und um ganz ehrlich zu sein: jeder Kreis, in dem man sich ausserhalb seiner eigenen kleinen comfort zone bewegt, bietet ein ganz ähnliches Szenario, oder? Ein ganzes Leben lang wirst du Familie um dich haben, auch wenn die Priorität nicht zwingend auf der liegen wird, mit der du einen identischen, genetischen Code inne hast. Klassenkameraden und Arbeitskollegen. Blutsbrüder und Schwippschwäger. Kumpel und Geliebte. Einige werden vorsichtig an deine Tür klopfen, andere hingegen werden dich attackieren wie ein gereizter Bulle. Der Effekt jedoch ist nahezu identisch: unberührt von diesen Begegnungen wirst Du garantiert nicht bleiben, auch wenn es nur für einen flüchtigen Moment ist. Stay Irie! - Yours truly , IRIEDAILY
