Tremé is a neighborhood in New Orleans.

The same guys that brought us critically acclaimed "The Wire" concepted a series that is playing after the Katrina hurricane showing how people are rebuilding their lives and what obstacles they have to deal with.
The below video has nothing to do with Treme but it gives you an idea what musical vibe to expect in the series (a lot of brass...). There seems to be live music all over Tremé, literally on every corner.
The video below the video is a rant by John Goodman from the series which kind of sums up the despair and bitterness people in New Orleans must have felt, after the Bush administration left them pretty much on their own. Besides that it´s fucking funny!
