IRIEDAILY friendly supports: ibug 2022 – Urban Art Festival

The Industriebrachenumgestaltung, ibug for short, will take place again this year in Flöha, near Chemnitz. The 17th edition of the festival for urban art and street art once again romps into the old colored paper factory, which has been largely derelict since the mid-90s. The ibug has made it its goal to make it possible to experience any kind of art that is created in informal urban space. The empty lot in Flöha has now become a canvas for selected national and international artists for the second time. Since August 6th, about 70 artists and collectives have designed the area in stages by means of painting and graffiti, illustrations and installations, upcycling and multimedia. The 70 artists were selected among more than 300 applications from more than 40 countries.

Participating are among others: the adhocrates collective (AT), Artourette & Liserlegal (Dresden, GER), Barbara Daros (BR), Berni Puig (ES), Chiara Capobianco (IT), El Bocho (Berlin, GER), Foodie (GER), Frau Albert (Dresden, GER), HÜLPMAN (Berlin, GER), Peter Fahr (Leipzig, GER), Pietro Vitali (IT), Sergio Stuff (PR), Simon Schirmer (Hannover, GER) und Tschief (Berlin, GER),

Visitors and art lovers can see and experience the works created during two festival weekends – from August 26 to 28 and from September 2 to 4 – as a temporary exhibition. In addition, a festival program is planned, including guided tours and films, artist talks, an art market and music. After the festival weekends, there will also be offers for school classes.
The exhibition will be open Fridays from 3:30-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The beer garden on the festival grounds will be open until 10 p.m. each night.
