For more than 20 years, we have had a part of the IRIEDAILY collections produced in Portugal. Since 2017 we have been working with the Portuguese supplier FELMAC MALHAS E CONFECÇÕES with a production site in Póvoa do Varzim. This is where mainly our striped T-shirts and dresses are produced. Felmac is one of the medium-sized suppliers and is in charge of the “Cut & Finish” steps. The embroidery processes are outsourced to the subcontractor TIGERBOR.

  • • Direct business relation
  • • Good communication
  • • Organic yarns
  • • GOTS certified

In summer 2021, our CSR team went to Portugal to visit our production sites and check the working conditions on site. Together with the Fair Wear Foundation, we are working to improve labor conditions and wages for workers in the garment industry. This ensures that proper working conditions apply in all factories. These visits were accompanied by a camera, enabling us to provide transparent insights into our production.

The contact to Felmac was established by an employee of an insolvent supplier. She told us that some of the customer service representatives, cutting experts and seamstresses affected by the insolvency had founded a new company. We found these initiatives worthy of support, since IRIEDAILY also grew out of the “do-it-yourself” spirit. In the video, the founder Edith and Claudia tell us how they started from scratch, completely on their own, and what advantages they see in knowing and being able to do all the processes and skills themselves.

In addition, you get insights into the production and the embroidery Tigerbor, which works as a subcontractor for Felmac. Both Felmac and Tigerbor are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified.

The Tigerbor embroidery works as a subcontractor for Felmac. There the IRIEDAILY styles are finished with embroidery.
