PANTHERTAINMENT x IRIEDAILY

Our cooperation with Tyron Ricketts and his production company Panthertainment has been extended: Fitting for the summer, we have expanded the black collection styles with white t-shirts and hoodies.

In the current discussion about racism, it has become clear that this topic concerns us all and that we can only ensure that it changes together. This is exactly the core issue of the film production company Panthertainment: to clear up clichés, to tell new stories, to show diversity as normality.

“Black and White, Unite!”

 The Berlin streetwear brand IRIEDAILY and the production company Panthertainment of actor Tyron Ricketts are launching a joint collection that combines the philosophies of both companies.
Both cooperation partners are convinced that the fair and peacefully spoken word should always be preferred to violence in any form when it comes to conflict. Likewise, one’s own creativity should be recognized as a great tool and gift to face injustice and prejudice in its various forms. Use your creativity to give a face to the most diverse aspects in societies, rather than simply confronting them with populism or violence.

Through stories in which diversity is shown as normality, Panthertainment offers alternative perspectives to the dominant Eurocentric narrative in the media world. By telling stories in which people of color are in focus and are also shown as positive heroes and heroines as a valid part of our society, each story changes our world in a better direction.

This approach also fits perfectly with IRIEDAILY’S DNA “STAY DIFFERENT”, which is not to be confused with “BE DIFFERENT”. For IRIEDAILY, the essential difference lies between “STAY” and “BE”. STAY DIFFERENT defines itself as a statement about the awareness of individuality, not always following the mainstream and not having to pretend.

As an owner-managed company and brand, IRIEDAILY has been guided by these principles for 27 years as the cornerstone of all its activities.
This is one of the reasons why IRIEDAILY is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, which is committed to the continuous improvement of working conditions for workers in the processing textile industry.

TYRON RICKETTS x IRIEDAILY HISTORY

Tyron Ricketts, the founder of Panthertainment and IRIEDAILY can also look back on 26 years of shared history. Tyron and JayBo, the creative co-founder of IRIEDAILY, formed the band Mellowbag as rappers and Tyron stood in front of the camera for IRIEDAILY several times during the last 2 decades. So it is only logical that these two companies from Kreuzberg, in an era of radical change, are now joining forces and want to continue contributing to make the world a little bit better through their creative expression.
